Kingfisher Airlines offers special ID 100 tickets for TAAI delegates
Kingfisher Airlines, in order to cash on the opportunity provided by
the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) convention to be held
in London this month is looking at introducing its first international
service on the Bangalore- London route. The airline will provide special
ID 100 tickets to the travel agents attending the TAAI convention,
wherein they will have to pay only the tax mentioned on the ticket.
In order to cater to the 1, 500 plus delegates from India participating
in the TAAI convention, airlines such as Jet Airways, SriLankan
Airlines, British Airways and Swiss International
Airlines are providing attractive and discounted rates
to the travel agents.
Talking about the discounted tickets, Bhanu Mohan Kaila, Head of Sales
– West, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, “This is one among our various
promotional moves. We want the travel agents to experience their own
Kingfisher on international routes. Since this will be our first international
route, I'm sure it will be a great experience for our passengers cum
trade partners (travel agents).”
It is known that out of the four mentioned carriers in the TAAI brochure,
only British Airways currently offers services on the Bangalore – London
route. While British Airways will charge Rs. 15,000 plus taxes on O
Class and Rs. 17,000 plus taxes on Q Class for a return ticket, Kingfisher,
is just going to charge taxes, which comes up to Rs. 25,000. “The travel
agents just have to pay Rs 25,000 for the Bangalore – London return
ticket on Kingfisher,” added Kaila.
